R&D
INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY AT THE SERVICE OF CONSTRUCTION
At Bilba, we apply R&D through three key pillars to drive collaborative methodology and promote a more equitable, transparent, and balanced construction sector.
WE ADD VALUE THROUGH INNOVATION
Internally
To improve internal processes and thus achieve greater agility
Towards our client
Through collaboration with the client, improving the management of each project.
With society
By seeking new solutions that enable faster and more sustainable construction to help reduce the shortage of affordable housing.
We have an R&D team with extensive experience and expertise in applying new technologies and innovative construction methods.
They ensure we stay to date and assist the rest of the team in implementing methodologies.
Methodology
We are immersed in an era of change and innovation. The implementation of technological advances is enabling us to build more sustainable and efficient buildings, optimizing the use of human and material resources to achieve better projects.
BIM Methodology
A DIGITAL INFORMATION MODEL IN OUR PROJECTS
The use of the BIM methodology in our projects allows to optimize resources, improve planning, and anticipate potential inconsistencies on site, ensuring a more efficient execution.
- Implemented in more than 85% of our collaborative projects.
- It increases efficiency in resource management and planning.
- It facilitates purchasing management and reduces operational costs.
With the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology, we have a digital model of the project that allows us to coordinate all phases of design, construction and operation. This ensure that everyone involved in the project works with the same up-to-date information in real time, which reduces errors and increases efficiency. Additionally, BIM facilitates purchasing management and reduce operational costs by optimizing the use of materials and resources. Thanks to BIM, we guarantee greater transparency and traceability at every stage of the project.
LEAN construction
WE ADD VALUE THROUGH INNOVATION
- Methodology focused on maximizing productivity and reducing waste.
- More efficient and sustainable processes.
- Optimization of material use and execution times.
Lean Construction is a methodology that eliminates waste, optimizes resource use, and improves efficiency in every phase of the project execution. Through precise planning and continuous improvement, we ensure deadlines are met and budgets are respected. Sustainability is a core pillar of this methodology, promoting efficient use of materials and waste reduction, which not only enhances project quality but also reduces environmental impact.
IPD - Integrated Project Delivery
ADDING GREATER VALUE TO EACH PROJECT
We foster collaboration and the talent of all project stakeholders to optimize costs, timelines, and quality at every stage. We believe in collective intelligence, transparency, and a shared goal than ensures the feasibility and success of every project.
IPD (Integrated Project Delivery) is a collaborative methodology that encourages the active participation of all project stakeholders from the very beginning, ensuring everyone works toward a common goal: delivering successful projects. By integrating all aspects of the project-from design to execution-resources are optimized, risks are reduced, and the quality of the final outcome is improved. At Bilba, we adopt IPD to provide our clients with faster, more efficient, and cost-effective projects.
SHARED BENEFITS OF IPD IMPLEMENTATION
Risk reduction in the planning and execution of construction works.
Greater efficiency in costs and delivery times.
Increase in the quality of the final project outcome.
Greater client satisfaction by ensuring the project's viability.

NEW WAYS TO BUILD: INDUSTRIALIZATION AND DFMA
EFFICIENT MANAGEMENT IN MANUFACTURING AND ASSEMBLY
Industrialization and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) allow us to optimize every phase of the construction process, reducing time, minimizing waste, and ensuring precision in every project.
Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) significantly reduces production and assembly times in projects, leading to optimized use of resources. This approach not only improves efficiency but also ensure a cleaner and safer process by minimizing operational risks. At Bilba, we have integrated DFMA into all our projects, allowing us to deliver high-quality, environmentally friendly results while ensuring precision at every stage of construction.
